Tyler counted off the last reps off slowly as he came to the end of the set. Sitting up, he wiped his brow and looked over to see Alejandro with that guy named Daken, Dougan, Duncan? Tyler almost felt like Lindsay his ex-girlfriend who couldn’t remember anyone’s name but he didn’t care what the green haired mohawk guy’s name was anyhow. What he did care about was how interested Alejandro seemed to be in him. It had been about two weeks since Tyler and Alejandro last worked out together or even hung out, and it was driving him insane. He wasn’t even sure what happened but one day everything was fine, the next Alejandro started screaming at him and accusing him of who knew what and storming out. Tyler expected him to come back and he didn’t. He also hadn’t the next day or the next and now here he was again hanging out with someone else! Tyler especially felt pissed when he saw Alejandro rub his hands over him, undoubtedly whispering dirty pleasurable things mixed with compliments and praise as he had with Tyler. He wanted to go over there and shove green hair out of the way and take his place under Alejandro’s ministration. After all, Alejandro was his trainer.

Green hair grinned and got up, running his hands through his hair and Tyler again felt like scowling at the pleased expression on Alejandro’s face. Sneaking closer under the guise of shifting free weights, Tyler kept focused his eyes in the direction of Alejandro and Green hair as he did curls. As far as he could tell, Green hair did not look all that impressive or big. They had decent enough muscle tone he supposed but definitely were built more on the lean and lithe side. Such physiques did have their own appeal but Tyler frankly preferred more substantial ones, one of which was running a hand down Green hair’s abs. Tyler felt bile and a fluttery sick feeling as he put the weight down. Panting, he tried not to throw up and he almost succeeded until he saw Alejandro and green hair again and he could no longer hold. He rushed for the bathroom and started puking his guts out, feeling miserable, sick…betrayed. Shaking he lifted his head and crossed his arms before he turned green and bent back over the bowl. When he was finally done with round two, he wiped his mouth. He quickly flushed before the disgusting smell could make him hurl a third time and stumbled out as he washed his hands.

“Are you okay?” Tyler jumped a little in surprise. Most people had already fled, quite understandably, when he started noisily puking whatever was in him up.

“Y-yeah,” Tyler said smiling before his face fell when he remembered what he had seen earlier. Tyler now understood about the green monster he heard about in English class. The green monster certainly stole Alejandro away from him and he did not like that. He did not like that at all. His attention reverted back to the person in front of him as they went and washed their hands and Tyler realized it was just the two of them.

“You don’t sound so sure,” said the guy when he finished.

“Of course I am,” Tyler said, trying to calm his racing heart and sound sure. “It was just a bout of…I don’t even know what.” The guy turned around and Tyler finally got a good look at him without being distracted as he held out his hand.

“Name’s Brick MacArthur, what’s yours?” Tyler found himself smiling a bit at the note of genuine interest of a fresh new face that didn’t know who he was.

“I’m Tyler, Tyler Hausman.” Tyler eagerly shook his hand, pleased with the strength in Brick’s grasp. Something he learned from being with Alejandro was the pleasures of male company like him. Actually he knew before, but Alejandro certainly drove the point home for him and it settled the doubts and confusions he had. Girls were cool and all but they were sure complicated and most people thought he was stupid and only marginally smarter than Lindsay or that weirdo Ezekiel. Granted, dating Lindsay probably didn’t help and she always did forget his and pretty much everyone else’s name. He’d have felt slightly more guilty breaking up with her since she had really liked him apparently but considering that she couldn’t remember his name when they were dating and after remembered his name but kept kissing everyone to find ‘Tyler’ was a bit of an ego crushing blow. Even guys who didn’t like him were less offensive and hostile than the girls most of the time as well when they teased him mercilessly.

“So…” Brick said and Tyler refocused back on him. “I’m kind of new here and am eager to see some sights, get to know the lay of the land. I was wondering if you wanted to show them to me, perhaps around noon tomorrow, meeting here?” Tyler blinked a moment before he grinned.

“I get it! You want to go on a date right?” Brick’s eyes widened as he glanced around.

“Shhhh, someone might come in!”

“It’s all cool, no one cares here at least generally about that. In fact there seems to be a number of gay, bi, hetero, and I don’t even know what people here. People might dislike you for many things here, but rarely for that alone.” Brick smiled in relief.

“Oh okay then, I guess yeah let’s go on a date.” Tyler felt a small thrill of pleasure that he missed go up his spine. That command spoken with such controlling dominance, it was beautiful. Alejandro was sure to be furious as well and maybe even want him back. Brick was also really good looking…really good looking Tyler noticed. He was a bit shorter and stockier with short buzz-cut hair and in a tank that stretched tightly on his chest and bulging biceps that almost rivaled Alejandro’s. He might even be able to keep up with Tyler as few people did there.

“Want to be my partner?” Tyler asked. “I’m in need of one since my last one stopped and you know how it is, you need one for safety and well it’s just fun to be with someone.”

“Sure,” Brick replied smiling and offered his hand which Tyler shook again and then bro-fisted as they walked out. Tyler was still a bit upset about Alejandro but on the plus side, he had a new good looking friend who was actually interested unlike some people…he glared holes into green hair again for a moment before setting up and laying down on the bench, Brick ready to help him should he run into trouble though that was quite unlikely at the current set, he just wanted to show off a little.

He could feel Brick watching him in amazement as he easily benched over 300 pounds. Most people were because while he was obviously fit and getting bigger, he didn’t look like someone who could do it so easily and consistently on a regular basis. It amused him to no end and the admiration Brick was showing certainly lifted his depressed spirit and he made sure to give Brick a good show as he upped it all the way to 375 before he started trembling and Brick stepped in helping as he completed his last few reps and Tyler leaned back heaving for air.

“I think I’m done for the day,” Tyler said after Brick handed him a water bottle. “I already did all my other sets and unless you are…?”

“I was just checking, deciding if I wanted to come to this gym and you know what?  I think I will?” Brick replied looking Tyler over. “That was impressive and better than me,” Brick pouted a  moment before shrugging. “I must know, how much do you weight?”

“190, finally” Tyler puffed out. “I was stuck in a rut the longest time at a miserable 160 before my trainer…” Tyler’s face saddened. “You know what? Forget it.”

“I’m sorry if that brought up anything painful,” Brick said sadly and slightly increased the distance between them which caused Tyler to frown but he didn’t say anything.

“Nah, it’s cool, you wouldn’t have known. Hey, you want to go to this cool coffee place I know? It’s my treat.” Brick protested a little but Tyler wouldn’t hear of it until Brick gave in and agreed to let Tyler buy him his drink though Brick was going to make sure he was going to buy the next one. Following Tyler in, he heard Tyler groan in annoyance and frustration.

“Ugh, why is he here?” He growled out and he saw who Tyler was looking at. It was a green-haired mohawk kid who was leaning on his knees and shamelessly flirting with the barista, saying something that made her laugh as he moved away and headed to a table where there was another guy already waiting.

“You know them?” Brick asked Tyler.

“Well, I know one of them,” Tyler said pointing at the Hispanic guy sitting casually but also in a pose that screamed confidence and mastery. Brick wasn’t intimidated by other guys generally but this one gave him pause and almost made him step back when their green eyes flashed his way a moment before stopping and settling on Tyler. A frown appeared as they got up.

“Tyler…” he said, eyes watering a little before turning cold and a sneer crossed his lips. “And who’s this? Your new whore?” Brick would have punched him but there was something in his face that said he wanted an excuse and Brick could also see the green haired dude also watching his hand under the table out of sight. Brick suspected that the guy did have a knife on him and he did have piercings and body tattoos running up and down his arms.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Tyler said angrily to the Spaniard and Brick focused his attention back on them.

“You know I don’t like sharing, especially when it’s behind my back,” he strode forward, standing over Tyler and while he was only a few inches taller, Tyler seemed to shrink in a moment before stabbing his fingers against the thick meaty chest of the other guy.

“Well what about you? Why are you hanging out with green haired over there?” Green haired got up and was about to move over to Tyler before a small head jerk from Alejandro froze him and he sat down glowering.

“His name’s Duncan and he’s my friend. What about you and jock-face?” He sniffed disdainfully. “Doesn’t seem all that smart,” he drawled which caused Duncan to laugh and Brick really felt like hitting them if he was a violent person, which he wasn’t though sometimes he wished he could hit someone without feeling guilty.

“Don’t talk about my friend like that Alejandro and why are you being such a…girl?” All three, Alejandro, Duncan, and Brick looked at Tyler confused.

“A…girl?” Alejandro asked confused. Duncan tilted his head as well which caused Tyler to clench his teeth in frustration as he tried to keep from leaping on green hair…Duncan. It was easier to think of him as green hair though and made him easier to hate so Tyler was going to keep calling him green hair.

“Yeah you heard me, a girl.” A rumble started low in the Spaniard’s throat and Brick moved to pull Tyler out of the way but Tyler just shrugged him off.

“Do I look like a girl to you?” Alejandro growled.

“Yeah, a real bitch too,” Tyler taunted. Duncan’s eyebrows rose and Alejandro was really growling now.

“Is there a problem here?” asked some guy coming over. A tag proclaiming him to be supervisory manager was tagged to the front of his apron. Alejandro turned to him, the hostility gone and he was all smooth and genteel.

“No, no problem at all,” he said smoothly and smiled at the guy. The supervisory manager smiled back, dazzled by Alejandro’s smile as most people were and walked away reassured. As soon as he was gone, the mean look returned to Alejandro’s face and he stomped towards Tyler.

“You did not just compare me to a girl did you?” he asked.

“No, just a bitch, girls are better,” Tyler said bravely back and Duncan burst out into big guffaws of laughter that only quieted when Alejandro sent him an incinerating glare though Duncan still chuckled lowly under his breath as he watched in amusement. Brick was unsure of what to make of this and backed off as this seemed to be a personal thing between the two.

“You’re the one who’s cheating on me,” Alejandro growled and Tyler who was about to say something else stopped and looked confused.

“Cheating on you? What are you talking about?” Alejandro gestured towards Brick.

“Who’s that then? You’re new flavor of the week? You know full well I hate secrets and infidelity. You couldn’t have expected your transgression to remain a secret forever.”

“What on earth are you talking about?” Tyler asked really confused. “You’re the one who is cheating on me with green haired guy.”

“I have a name,” Duncan said and Tyler waved him off.

“Yeah, and I don’t really care you man-slut who stole Alejandro away from me.”

“Huh?” Both Alejandro and Duncan looked confused. “The thing is…” Alejandro said.

“We’re just friends,” Duncan finished. “I’m sorry if you think we’re…dating…or whatever but he’s the one who called babbling about some guy named Tyler who ripped out his heart and stomped on it, leaving me the one who has to pick up the pieces and listen to him go on and on and on wondering what it was that you didn’t like. There must have been something if you cheated on him right? I’ve been trying to keep his mind off of the one who did this to him but if that’s you…” Duncan got up and brought out a hidden knife like Brick had thought, immediately bringing an alarmed look on Alejandro and Brick’s faces. Tyler was caught in a moment of shock surprised that someone just drew a knife in a coffee shop on him. Fortunately, it was in a lull time for business so there weren’t many people there yet and no one had seen Duncan do it and Alejandro immediately grabbed it from Duncan and pocketed it quickly.

“What the hell man?” Duncan asked surprised. “That’s the guy who broke your heart and is cheating on you. Don’t you want him to suffer?”

“Yes but actually harming or even killing him? I don’t want that to happen. And drawing a lethal weapon in a public place, do you want to get arrested again?” Duncan glared at Tyler a moment.

“Fine, you’re right. You’re mine when we leave though,” Duncan said to Tyler as he sat back down. Alejandro shook his head.

“No, no violence Duncan. You are NOT going to hurt Tyler understand?”

“But-“ Duncan started.

“No,” Alejandro said and Duncan glowered as he agreed reluctantly.

“What are you talking about, me cheating on you?” Tyler asked.

“You’re with other guys, guys who are not me,” Alejandro said.

“I’m not allowed to have friends?” Tyler asked getting a bit upset himself.

“You have some really close friends then if you’re doing that with them,” Alejandro bit out. “What do you call that guy with you? Is he another of your ‘friends?’”

“No, I just met him today at the gym where you were ignoring me and with that green haired asshole.” Duncan immediately jumped up before being restrained by Brick. Duncan squirmed a moment and Brick held on until Duncan gave up though he was shooting some now really extreme death ray glares Tyler’s way. Alejandro now looked more puzzled than angry.

“So you weren’t cheating on me and leaving?” Alejandro asked in a monotone voice.

“No I wasn’t,” Tyler said. “If anything, I thought that was what you were doing which is why I invited Brick here. If you were going to find someone else, so was I.”

“But…but…” Alejandro shook his head. “Heather said…” Tyler groaned.

“Seriously, you believe something Heather would say? What did she say exactly?”

“That you were playing the field, stringing me along, using me while you had other guys as well and that you were going to leave me…”

“And you believed that?” Tyler scoffed. “You know Heather is hardly the most reliable source of information, especially when it’s well known she has had a crush on you for years and would do anything to go out with you.”

“That’s what I thought too but then she showed me these pictures…” Alejandro said.

“Let me see those,” Tyler demanded and Alejandro in a daze handed them over. Tyler looked them over and they were pictures of him and his cousin when Lightning came to visit. They were having some rough play-housing and it certainly did look incriminating if you were in a certain mindset and didn’t know what was going on.

“Well, these are me with my cousin Lightning,” Tyler said handing them back. “I’m not sure who took these or how Heather got a hold of them and I admit those are pretty convincing but really, that’d be disgusting as again, that’s my cousin and we were just having a good time.” Alejandro had an ‘o’ look on his face.

“Cousin?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Tyler said.

“I…I hurt and avoided you for no reason?” Alejandro said in a small voice.

“Yep,” Tyler said. Alejandro immediately grabbed Tyler and hugged him as he shook with tears.

“I’m sorry for believing that,” he said. “It was all a stupid misunderstanding and Heather had me convinced you were and I’m really sorry.”

“It’s okay,” Tyler said smiling as he was pressed against Alejandro’s hard chest. It felt nice and like where he belonged. The emptiness he had been feeling the last two weeks disappeared and he felt complete and whole again in Alejandro’s arms. “I missed you.”

“Could you ever forgive me?” Alejandro asked. Tyler nodded against him and Alejandro briefly spun him around and kissed him full on the lips. Immediately the room burst into applause and all of them turned to see that the store had again gotten crowded with the lunch time rush and that apparently a whole bunch of people had witnessed the last few bits, especially the kiss. Tyler blushed bright red and Alejandro smirked as he waved.

“That’s right folks! He’s mine!” Tyler pressed against Alejandro wishing a hole would sink up and eat him though when Alejandro returned his arms around him again, Tyler relaxed and sighed, never wanting to leave.

“Guess that makes us both third wheels then,” Duncan said bringing Brick’s attention away from the scene and the disappointment he felt that Tyler was already with someone else and it was just a misunderstanding. “By the way, can you let go of me?” he asked. Brick realized he still had Duncan trapped in a body-hold and immediately let go, blushing a little.

“Sorry about that.” He looked around. “It looks like Alejandro and Tyler are still together,” he said disappointed.

“Yeah,” Duncan said. He looked over at Alejandro wistfully. “It’s too bad but they do look good together.” He looked back over at Brick and smirked. “What about you soldier boy? Are you still single?”

“Uh yeah,” Brick said, wondering where this was going. Duncan got up and he moved over to Brick, circling him before smirking.

“What do you say to me and you?” he asked.

“Uh…” Brick said before Duncan wrapped a hand around Brick’s bicep and squeezed, looking impressed.

“Nice guns, I’m impressed,” Duncan smirked and pushed Brick down into a seat. “So how bout it soldier boy? Think you can impress me some more?” The way Duncan said that made it sound like a challenge as did the look in his eyes and Brick straightened. “You bet I can,” he said flexing which immediately had Duncan’s attention and licking his lips.

“Sweet…” Duncan grinned as he felt. “I think you’ll do quite nicely.” Alejandro and Tyler returned to the table.

“Hey guys, what are you up to?” Alejandro asked looking at the two of them. Tyler looked as well.

“Me and Soldier Boy hooked up,” Duncan grinned. “Since Tyler is currently unavailable.”

“Well, that is unexpected,” Tyler said. He turned to Brick. “I’m sorry things didn’t work out between us but we are friends right?”

Of course,” Brick said. “We didn’t even have one date yet.”

“Now that I know you aren’t after with Tyler, I would like to introduce myself. My name’s Alejandro Burromuerto.”

“Brick MacArthur,” Brick shook his hand back and Duncan immediately put his hand in.

“Duncan Evans,” he smirked. “I do believe this is the start of a brand new beautiful something.”

“Maybe we should drink our coffee elsewhere, everyone is still watching us.” The four of them turned to see people looking at them or ‘innocently’ doing other things as they kept their real focus on them.

“Yeah, let’s go,” Tyler said leading the way as the four of them left.
A sort of companion/sequel thing to an old story I did of Tyler's Trainer.
